Andalusite is a member of the kyanite group of minerals, typically exhibiting prismatic crystals with an island-like structure and a cross-section approaching a square shape.
Color: Pink, reddish-brown, or grayish-white; vitreous luster; relative hardness 6–7.5; bulk density 3.1–3.2 g/cm³.
