Brief Introduction to BEFORM
BEFORM is a blended rapid-hardening agent for Portland cement, mainly applied in the rapid repair market. It enables the cement to achieve a compressive strength of 10MPa at 3 hours.
Product Characteristics
- Adjustable working time (20 minutes to 2 hours)
The working time can be adjusted to 20 minutes ~ 2 hours by using ordinary retarder (L-tartaric acid) or special retarder "D300".
- Excellent early strength development
By adjusting the dosage, the compressive strength can be regulated to over 10MPa at 3 hours.
- Long-term stability
As a cement-based material with stable composition, it will not hinder the cement hydration reaction. It features long-term stable strength development, and the strength will not decline.
- Superior crack resistance
The product has micro-expansive property and almost no hardening shrinkage, thus exhibiting excellent early-age crack resistance.
Product Applications
Rapid-hardening grout, rapid-hardening repair mortar, self-leveling materials, rapid demolding of concrete products, etc.

Physical Properties of Mortar with BEFORM Added (at 20℃)
BEFORM Dosage (%) | Working Time (min) | Compressive Strength (MPa) | Compressive Strength (MPa) | Compressive Strength (MPa) |
3 Hours | 1 Day | 28 Days | ||
0 | 300 | - | 22.3 | 65.9 |
15 | 49 | 11.2 | 35.4 | 64.8 |
20 | 47 | 15.4 | 41.7 | 63.3 |
25 | 42 | 18.7 | 45.8 | 65.2 |
- Mortar Mix Proportion: (Cement + BEFORM)/Sand = 1/1.5; Water/(Cement + BEFORM) = 0.34
- Materials Used: Cement (PO42.5), Sand (ISO standard sand)
※ Working time is adjusted with the special retarder "D300"
The rapid-hardening mortar added with BEFORM exhibits superior early-age crack resistance compared to mortars added with ordinary rapid-hardening cement (calcium sulfoaluminate cement: SAC).
Usage Precautions
Working Time
The working time may vary with ambient temperature, type and dosage of retarder, cement type, and cement batch. Conduct trial mixing in advance to confirm the working time.
Excessive addition of retarder will cause poor hardening, resulting in partial or complete failure to harden.
Construction Water
Use clean tap water for construction; avoid using river water or other water sources that may cause poor hardening.
Product Storage
This product has higher moisture absorption than ordinary cement. Once opened, use it on the same day or transfer it to a more airtight container for storage.
Store in a dry indoor environment to avoid direct sunlight and exposure to rainwater.
