"Jun" brand high-purity fused magnesia-alumina spinel is smelted from high-purity magnesia powder and industrial alumina powder in large-scale high-temperature electric arc furnaces. It possesses properties including high density, high spinel phase content, high refractoriness, good high-temperature volume stability, excellent resistance to alkaline slag erosion and penetration, and superior thermal shock stability. It is widely applied in electric furnace roofs for steelmaking, converters, ladles, porous plugs/seat bricks, RH spinel bricks/backing castables, tundish stabilizers & impact plates, alloy smelting, lithium battery saggers, and special plasma spray coatings.
The incorporation of magnesia-alumina spinel into refractories can significantly enhance the fluidity, impermeability, erosion resistance, and spalling resistance of castables. In particular, it improves scouring resistance, extends service life, and reduces refractory consumption per ton of steel. It also addresses the cracking issue caused by the addition of magnesia raw materials
